On The New SM Store Beauty Makati: So Much Beauty, Indeed!

Last Friday, I attended the grand opening of the newly renovated SM Store Beauty Section in Makati. I can probably say that out of all the SMs in the city, I’ve been to the Makati branch the most—ive been going there since I was a kid! (who remembers the carabao sculptures by the park?) I’ve seen it undergo renovation lots of times, but this might just be my favourite to date!

This new beauty blackhole spans almost 2,500 sqm, (the biggest beauty hall in the country!) with almost 200 global and local beauty brands! I havent been out and about lately, as I’ve just given birth, so imagine my amazement upon entering my oft-visited beauty hall!

There’s MAC!

And Body Shop…

Shu Uemura and NYX!

A Maybelline BROW BAR! Oh my!

Hi to my friends, Pixy and Heroine Make!

And, hello there, REVLON!

The new Revlon place, (and I say place because it can very well be a stand-alone boutique in size!) is right by the mall entrance. The semi-open design is decked with lots and lots of products but still with ample space  so you can actually shop around and try stuff in peace. It actually looks like a store, complete with the Nail Bar:

Two makeover counters, one on each side…

Probably the most complete display of items…

With the new addition of BEAUTY TOOLS Revlon is actually quite well known for! I spotted the Revlon x Marchesa mirror compact and tweezers!

I can’t wait to be back and go around the new SM Beauty Section Makati—preferably as soon as the mall opens, on a weekday, so I have a few minutes of solace before other shoppers come in. Only a few days before Christmas, and I’m already very scared of the rush! Have you done your shopping already?

  1. Wow! Tapos na pala sila mag renovate. I was thinking pa naman, “Bat ba ngayon nila tinaon ang renovation sa Christmas?”. I need to drop by there too if only to see the displays myself. Exciting!

  2. I remember the Carabaos! Haha, been going there since Glorietta was still called Quad (1,2,3,4) 😀

The design is definitely posh-looking. But I prefer a continuous clean line across the ceiling. The square thingies on top of the booths (?), make the place look a little cramped. Maybe it’s just me, or maybe they should’ve picked white? I dunno.

  3. I visited it recently and the place is utterly overwhelming! Beauty black hole indeed! I like the new airy and clean design, and the uniform makeup counters are really chic. I like that my favorite brands are set up there too!
