On RMK Smoothing Polished Based: A Complete Look And Some Thoughts

To continue with the initial review on the RMK Smoothing Polished Base, here are details from the look as featured.

I took photos showing the product applied by itself and when set with another product:

My observations are summed up as follows:

One, the texture and thickness of this RMK base provides a physical layer between the skin and the next product you choose to apply (liquid foundation, or in my case, powder foundation). So you get a sort-of extra surface to work which is more even color and texture-wise.

Two, the formulation of the product gives off a considerable amount of glow/reflection which blurs and deflects uneven skin and enlarged pores and visually gives the effect of an overall better skin.

What I’m wearing: RMK Smoothing Polished Base, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium, H&M Bronzing Powder in Gorgeous Tan, Majolica Majorca Brow Customize Pencil, MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study, MAC Kohl Pencil in Teddy, Maybelline One-by-one Volum’ Express Mascara, Boots No.7 Lip Pencil in Nude, Carmex lip balm

I think much has to be said about makeup bases, I’m realizing how integral it is to a full-on makeup routine. Integral and maybe rather beneficial, that is. It’s a pity RMK isn’t being sold here in Manila, but if it is, would you consider getting one?
