On The Opening Day: Q.M.P. and A.R.T.

Oh wow, I’m sorry to have bailed out on you after a few weeks in Bangkok. Our connection has been intermittent to start with, but after the first weeks it was just plain dead. Well, I’ve since left the city (with great sadness) for a quick swing-by in Singapore.

Before the chika on that, and many more pending posts on Bangkok still, I’ll be sharing with you photos of the show H organized:

Exhibiting are six of the Philippines best [in my opinion] young, contemporary artists in various media—painting, photography, video, conceptual/installation.

We had the Philippine embassy’s Consul General deliver a rather fitting opening remark. Got me informed and excited about the ASEAN!

I’m happy to report that it has been well-attended by students, artists and friends alike.

One artist had a nail art set-up at the gallery, he got a Thai lady paint trapo (rag) patterns on to the audiences forefinger. Needless to say, I’m all for it!

More installation photos:

And lastly, to make this a have-it-all post, a QMP:

I thought slightly pink lids and lips go well with my pale jade Pratunam-bought shirt.

What I’m wearing: RMK Makeup Base, RMK Liquid Foundation, Makeup Forever HD Blush #6, MAC Brow Set in Girl Boy , MAC Brow Pencil in Lingering, MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study, In2It Eye Color Palette in Sorbet Deluxe (review soon!), Majolica Majorca Cream Eyeliner in Black,, Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara, NYX  Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan

That’s all for now, talk later!
